Emokid with a vengeance!

Met Hakim at siglap last night, Hakim's been my best buddy for 8 years mann. We haven't seen each other for so long and it was really nice to see him last night. We went to KFC, I ordered a Lemonade and what did they give me? Ice Lemon Tea with more sugar and a lemon. Wtf? Then we went to Rory's place and played "backyard" wrestling with Rory providing commentary and sound effects(crowd cheering/jeering). I went to Hakim's place after that and played some Star Wars game, I swear it's impossible to kill those fucking droids.

Rory,Damian and I wrote a new song too, It sounds pretty kickass but can be worked on. Oh, And I'm also joining Snail! Awesomeeezzzaww. Three bands! tsk.

Well today's going to be pretty hectic for me, I have to get my hair cut(I look like a freakin Emo kid) because I have an exam tomorrow. And I'm helping my sister out with her face-painting thingy at Bishan later. See what a good brother I am? Adios peeps.

BIRD-DOO!

Birdo is a strange creature from the Super Mario game series. He first appeared in Super Mario Bros 2 and according to the instruction manual, he was a boy that liked to be called Birdetta. In later games, Birdo has become a female, and was also Yoshi's girlfriend in many of the games. Thus, proving that Birdo is definitely female.

Most people think that Birdo is a transvestite, but others just think that he/she is a very, very, very strange creature.

Onwward to Manhood!

I just read 'Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini. It's a really touching book about the life of Amir, who leaves his country, Afghanistan to America after Russian Forces invade his home country. Many political events take place in his life as he strives to be independent and responsible, But the book, basically is an intimate account of family, friendship, betrayal and salvation. One of the best books I've ever read in my entire life. Get it if you can!

This book actually got me thinking, about being responsible, about being a man. It's quite scary in a way, I'm already 15 years old, and I honestly don't think I can look after myself on my own. But I know one day I have to, I have to face my fears, I have to learn to be responsible. I'm quite frightened at the thought of going out to the real world on my own in the future. Yup, and I ain't shy to admit it. Amir kind of reminds me of me in the book, when he was young, he was a coward, a timid and nervous individual, although he does change and become responsible in the end, and hopefully I do too. Ah well.

In Heaven, Everything is fine.

The creepy disturbing song sung by the Lady in the radiator in 'Eraserhead'. I just watched 'Eraserhead' for the second time, I bought this DVD from Inokii about a week ago and I have to say, It has certainly been my favourite movie since. It is a really different film from anything you see in Hollywood and is directed by the legendary David Lynch, who is well recognised for his weird experimental films. This film has a very dark surreal feel and has all elements of a nightmare in it(the kind of dark nightmares that are so random-they are disturbing. The film is even in black-and-white to give it a more dark approach, lol). It's either you really really love this movie, or really really freaking hate it. It depends on what kind of movies you like. The key to watching this film is to not watch it thinking of what conspires-literally but rather metaphorically.

The movie is basically about a lonely man Henry Spencer, living in an industrial wasteland area. The second thing we know about him other than him being lonely is that he sins quite alot(no explanation given). The worms in the movie represent sin, and the worms coming out from his mouth is a metaphor for Henry being cleared of all his sins, and the planet and the Man inside the planet represents Heaven and God. Anyway, Henry's girlfriend, Mary X, invites him over to her place for dinner one fine day and He meets her strange family(especially her quiet grandmother, possibly dead). Mary's mother confronts Henry privately about him having premarital sex with her daughter and resulting in an abnormally short pregnancy for Mary. Mary's mother tells him that Mary gave birth to an abnormal reptillian like baby and that Henry is the cause of this misery and has to marry her if not, he'd be in deep trouble.

The baby is awfully disgusting looking and cries at night when Mary and Henry go to bed. In the end, Mary loses her cool and leaves Henry to look after it himself. Henry thinks about suicide(The freaky lady in the radiator represents suicide, she sings him the iconic "In heaven, everything is fine" song). A series of weird events follow, especially the one scene where Henry's head detaches itself from his neck and drops from the sky, a little boy crossing the road sees the head and exitedly delivers it to a pencil factory where the pencil machine operator uses Henry's brain to make erasers..thus the title 'Eraserhead', I guess this scene is about him erasing his problems away. In the end, Henry kills his baby(killing himself at the same time) and hugs the lady in the radiator, embracing death.

Very painful to watch at first, but it is incredible once it's over. David Lynch rules. I'd rate this film 8/10. Might be a little slow for people who love xXx kind of films.

Well, that's all for now I guess. But not before I treat you guys with HORSE The Band's Lord Gold Throneroom video. Enjoyy!!!

ITSA MEEE! MARIIOOO!!

Mario 64 pwns Dota's ass anyday, anytime. Muahaha!

Currently listening to HORSE The Band's Mechanical Hand Album

Hellow peeps! Hope everyone is doing fine and not feeling too emo today, feeling emo is bad, although today would be a good day to feel emo since it's raining heavilly(restate fact about self: I hate it when it rains). The sky is very dark right now and the only thing that is carrying a happy atmosphere is the music coming from my speakers..

HORSE The Band!!! The 'The Mechanical Hand' album!
Just in case you didn't know, HORSE The Band is a really talented nintendo-core band with a party'ish feel. Being probably the first band to ever fuse Hardcore music complete with breakdowns together with Nintendo game theme music, they will bring a new wave of creativity to the hardcore scene..Catchiness meets Technicality in this album. Buy it now! Yesyes, I am carrying their balls and endorsing them.

Speaking of Nintendo-core, The Nintendo 64 console has always been my favourite game player. I grew up playing Nintendo64 games like Mario 64 which is to me, hands down, THE GREATEST GAME EVER. It is very imaginative and full of colorful and fun levels. It kicks all of the Grand Theft Auto series' asses in my dearest opinion. The game indeed brings back alot of childhood memories. Actually, You know what? It's time to find that freaking machine. Buhbye peeps.

Pfft.
Dreaming In Dog Years

Today was a pretty alright day despite the heavy rain(I hate it when it rains). School was quite fun, I had a good chat with Mr.Thompson about what this shithole of a world is coming to. He told me he was watching television and flipping through the channels when he came across a program on CNN afew days back, the program was about what would most likely happen in the near future. They predicted a world war in 2013. Not that I believe what every news reporter scum has to say on tv(because tv is evil), but it kind of makes sense in a way, what is already happening now in the world could be a stepping stone to a probable world war afew years down the road from now. And I was thinking, "2013..Hmmm.. Hey, Wouldn't I be 18/19 years old then? Wouldn't I be enlisted in the army, Would I have to go to war?". Got me thinking, I sure as hell wouldn't ever want to go to war.

On a brighter note, Damian Steven from Little Girl Terrorist has joined our band, Ari Handel, as the second vocalist. Hopefully all goes well. In case you were wondering what we play, It's sort of a hybrid between Death Metal and Hardcore. GARANG AH? =P

I will be writing more shit soon, and friends, do give The Red Chord a listen. Massachusetts' Finest.
